| Early 12th century dress | |||
| Date Created: October 2002 | |||
| This dress is very easy to make. It copies the early 12th century middle to upper class fashion. Typical for this period is an interesting sleeve cut two holes allow to wear the sleeves in two ways, depending on the weather conditions. The arms can either be completely covered or be pushed out through the middle of the sleeves. The sleeves are slightly longer than the arm length to serve as a muff on colder days. For a better fit, the dress is laced up at the back. An accompanying chemise is worn as an underwear. | |||
